In Sillypore, GST started wit 3%, now it's 7% and expected to increase to 10% by 2012. Only those with Sing 1mil (RM2.4mil) can charge GST. Singkies are lucky 'cos they are in high income economy.

In Bolehland, GST starts at 4% and will increase to ???%. In Bolehland, those with revenue above RM500K charge GST and Bolehland's people are in low income economy.

Bolehland's warlords are smart to zero rate and exempt most of the items in CPI basket. So when CPI is out after GST is implemented, there is hardly any impact on CPI. Conclusion - GST does not cause inflation. Unfortunately the price of my bowl of noodle and cup of kopi would have gone up by 20%.

Those middle income and low income people had better prepare for hardship. Their quality of life is about to deteriorate.

The bigger picture is that Najib has failed to get through measures such as removing subsidies and passing RPGT to increase revenue. Stopping GST is just a big nail in the coffin will just demoralized UMNO/BN about Najib's ability to generate revenue to feed the his feudal lords.

Under the Federalism, The state governments have control over religion, land, natural resources and water. Should there be any GST, any tax imposed on the above should be retured to the state treasury.

These issues are significant enough to warrant the attention of the voters in the next election.

The revenue from GST retured to the sate government can then be used to alleviate the poor. The voters will have emphaty for the right use of the revenue denied and the right of the state government to the revenue. The will feel the connection. Sabah and Sarawak can be won on this issue. The 5% oil royaty to Kelantan and Trengannu should be a lesson to all PKM state govenments to re-look the possibility that they will be deprived of the GST generated from the matters stated above under Federalism. The People will rise up against new taxes if PKM can sell the message.

I will gladly pay 4% GST provided they abolish income tax for those earning less than RM150,000 per annum. Plus, only establishments with a turnover of more than RM3M be allowed to charge GST.

This 'delay of GST' is not good enough. If oil prices goes up then they are still OK.

Now is the time to call on govt to get rid of APs, have open tender and close the budget deficit.

If they have a RM50mil fund to buy over 'frogs' they have too much money in their hands...
